My friends and I enjoy playing the tabletop Role-playing Game Dungeons and Dragons, and I am in quite a few campaigns, which means I have quite a few different characters, and I have played quite a few different characters since I started to play. My idea is to create a website that displays all the different characters I have played in all the campaigns I have been involved in. My idea involves having a cover page that contains a list of all the campaigns I have been involved in, with a description of each campaign below the sub-title and then, below that, a list of all the characters I have played in said campaign. Each name will have a hyperlink that will take you to a page with a short description of the character (backstory, class, subclass, combat style, etc) and an image of the character's appearance. I will also include the character's statistics and abilities, the level they obtained while in the campaign/the level they are currently at, and finally, if the character is no longer being played, a brief description of what happened to the character, whether it be death, leaving the party or the campaign was cancelled.
The reason I chose Creative Commons as my license as it gives you a nice and easy step by step guide on how to license your website. It asks you whether you want to copyright your website, have it be used commercially, allow others to use your work free of charge or have them pay to use your work. It does al this with easy yes or no questions and then it is a simple copy and paste onto your website to display the license.
